This wonderful French demijohn bottle is encased in the original wicker meant to protect it. This one is genuinely old, made in the late 19th to early 20th century. The glass is green and the bottle has the sheared lip typical of European demijohns. The weave of the wicker is especially attractive on this piece. It's in great shape, too. There's just a few minor breaks in the wicker and a paint spot on one side. No damage to the bottle. This demijohn is a nice smaller size measuring about 12" tall and 8" - 9" in diameter. Great for grouping with other bottles.
