Antique English Brass Roasting Jack Arm or Spit Bracket c1820

This rather good looking piece of antique English brass was designed to hold a revolving roasting jack in front of a kitchen cooking fire. The bracket swings and will 'lock' in place at several points. There are notches in the arm to adjust how close the roasting meat would be to the heat. It extends 10", the star is 4.75" diameter. It's in wonderful condition with a beautiful patina.
