This 18K Art Deco solitaire features a twinkling approximately .45 ct mine cut diamond, bead set in an octagonal frame. The diamond is an I1 stone and has a chip of to the side. This is not visible without proper magnification and does not attract from the overall appearance of the ring. There is an additional octagonal frame spaced about .50 mm from the one in which the diamond is set. The gallery of the ring follows the contour of the octagonal frame. Each section is divided with a vertical bar and is filled with geometric filigree patterns. The sides of the shoulders have a feather-like carved pattern that eventually changes to grooved triangles. The top of the shoulders has a pattern of vice versa triangles with dots in the center. The shoulders are approximately 1.85 mm wide and gently taper to .92 mm at the base. The piece is marked "18" and "Belais". It is a size 7 1/4 and weighs 1.3 dwt. This understated and elegant piece would make a lovely engagement ring.
