DeLillo worked for Cartier and Tiffany among others and formed a partnership with Robert Clark, the then head of design for Miriam Haskell. Together they created a range of costume jewelry in 1960-1970 for a limited time. Said to have been designed for only the "elite clientele".
This wonderful brooch is set in silver tone and decorated with a gorgeous combination of large prong set rhinestones, faux gems, glass, and lucite in various colors and shapes including cabochons, chaton cushion, pear and marquis cuts consisting of various mouth watering colors including, fuchsia, citrine, aqua marine, satin white, topaz, clear and more.
This is truly a vibrant, attention getting, and very rare brooch. It is signed by DeLillo. It is in wonderful condition with working pin mechanism.
