1930's Pipe Cleaner Doll -Groom holding a Ring 2 3/4" tall
What this little Art Deco guy, lacks in stature, he more than makes up for in personality! This 2 3/4" tall, chenille, pipe cleaner doll is from the 1930's. He may have been a wedding reception favour or a display on or near a cake. His body is constructed of black pipe cleaners, he has a bead for his head that has painted, side glance eyes, an open moth and painted black hair. This fine fella, holds a gold band in his right hand. He is wearing a felt tuxedo jacket, there is a small hole, in the back right tail. Someone has written an A on his white collar, perhaps it is supposed to mimic a tie. He is glued to, a small,celluloid oval stand.
