Here is a great, Sarreguemines majolica jug, this is a pig with a hole in its snout, for liquid to come out. The jug is a mustard colour with a pink snout and cheeks. There are no marks on the bottom. There is very faint pencil script, that I cannot make out. This dates to 1890. Measurements: just over 8.75inches high, just over 3inches wide at the footed base and 5inches at the widest part. Condition: good with fine age glaze crazing together. I have viewed the piece carefully under bright light and see no chips or breaks. There is an area where the glaze opened up and dirt has gotten in. I have photographed each angle so please view the photos carefully, as they are an important part of the description. One the top of the jug, are very fine hairlines which just appear to be in the glaze and not through the jug. Please email if you require additional information or photographs. This piece will be wrapped very securely and double boxed for shipping. This is a wonderful piece of French Majolica ready to display in any fine collection. I am Doll-lighted to Meet You!
