WW 1 German Helmet - Rusty Relic -Buried in a Field, then Dug Up.
On offer is an interesting helmet, unearthed during a dig. This is a WW 1 German helmet that has wear from initial use and then from being underground for years. It was dug from a Farmer's field in Europe and then made it's way to Canada, where I purchased it. It displays well, in spite of being a relic. Please view pictures to see the wear and the split to the metal. This is a piece that creates quiet contemplation in me, I wonder who the soldier was, who wore this and what became of him? How did it end up being buried? We shall never know these answers...the helmet lives on... I am Doll-lighted to Meet You!
