ON HOLD FOR B. On offer is a Heinrich Handwerck - Simon Halbig Black Doll. This doll is in as found condition. She measures 19" tall and has her original blown glass eyes. The right eye was glued on the glass part, to the right of the pupil and I can see the fine break upon close inspection. The back of her head is marked Germany Heinrich Handwerck Simon Halbig with a 2 1/2 near the base of her bisque head. I bought this doll a few years back with every intention of having her put back together. I purchased her from an antique dealer who bought her from the original owner. She has been restrung in the past and her pate has been replaced. I am unsure if her wig is original or a vintage replacement. I see no breaks ir damage to her bisque head. She has an open mouth with 4 top teeth. Her stringing is a little tight as she has open seams on the shoulders. I have taken over 20 photos but can only add 9 so please email if you want to see any others. She has nice multi-stroke eyebrows, panted eyelashes and red mouth. This doll has a small dimple in her chin...she resembles a 109 but isn't marked as such. This doll is missing two fingers on her left hand. Please view the pictures. The finish on the tips of her toes is worn on her left foot. She has age appropriate wear and with a little help would display beautifully. It is not easy to find antique black dolls and this 19" beauty is a perfect size for display. She has the red dress she had on when I purchased her.
