On offer is a small, English watercolour, that appears to have been painted in the late 1800's. It has been painted on a piece of Whatman, hand made paper. This well known company is English. The measurements are, just over 9" long and almost 6" wide. The subject matter is charming, a landscape with houses and a bridge. It doesn't appear to have any spots that are faded. This is exactly as I found it, without a frame This piece is signed in the lower right corner, I can't make out the full signature. The first name is David, the last name is hard to decipher, first I thought it was Alder, then Laird. I am not sure. This is a lovely, serene little watercolour and would display beautifully in an appropriate frame of the same era. I don't have any provenance on this piece. It has been painted by a talented, unknown artist. I am Doll-lighted to Meet You!
