I just love this funny fellow. This great vintage 1940's clown doll measures 18" from the tip of his hat to his wooden feet. This great guy is made from fabric with hand embroidered detail on his face, hat and clothing, very good quality. He is in very good, gently played with condition. His seams are all intact and he is nice and clean His hat has some fading on the blue portion. He holds a jingle bell in his right hand. His clown outfit is a black cotton sateen with embroidered polka dots. His clown hat has one embroidered polka dot on the black half and the blue half is a solid colour. He has a note pinned to his back that reads Gladys made this for Bob...can't help but wonder who Gladys and Bob were...I do know that Gladys was a great toy maker and Bob was a lucky kid to receive this as a gift! This note is printed on an old piece of stationary from Hamly Press from Edmonton Alberta Canada...please view the pictures to see both sides of this note.
