Fashion Doll Costume for 24" (+/-) Lady Doll c1890-1900

These larger costumes are so hard to find. There is some wear to the wool in a few places and I've shown this well in the close ups and it is very minor.

Bodice measures 6-1/2" long at center back and is 5-1/2" across the shoulders to where the velvet epaulets begin (even with armholes). The sleeves are dramatically curved and measure 6-1/4" long at the underarm seam with cuff opening 3" around. Bust is 15-1/2" around (extra ease in front gathers not included in this measurement); waist 13".

Skirt is 14" long at center front and 15" at center back. Waist is 12-1/2" with hook closures in current position.

As shown, the lining has some discoloration. It is a heavy polished cotton and gives the garment a beautiful drape which hangs nicely.

This would be a stunning costume on a Gibson Girl doll with lady body, a china or parian, or other doll contemporary to this era.
