Late 19th Century Hand Colored Lithograph of Shorebirds by Alexander Pope Jr.

A fine late 19th century hand-colored lithograph of shorebirds in their natural setting by Alexander Pope Jr., American, 1849-1924. Pope is a notable, listed American sporting artist from Dorchester, Massachusetts. He studied under William Copley.

This wonderful, original print is in very good estate condition. The piece measures 13 1/2" by 19 1/2", site, and 22" by 28" in frame. There are no tears or creases and very, very little foxing. The gilt frame is in very good, undamaged condition. It was re-matted and framed in 2010 and is wall ready.

A very pleasing piece of art by one of America's popular gaming artists.
