Circa 1920 Herend White Porcelain Plate Market Garden Pattern

A beautiful Herend, Hungary white porcelain plate profusely decorated with fruits, nuts, ladybugs, beetles and butterflies. This attractive plate has a relief-molded basket weave border and gilt-highlighted, scalloped edge. Since its introduction in the 1860's the 'Market Garden' pattern has been timelessly popular. Vintage pieces are more and more difficult to find.

The plate measures 9" in diameter and is in very, very good undamaged condition. There are no chips, cracks or restorations. There is no surface wear or crazing and the glaze is still very lustrous. It is marked on the underside as per photo.
