An exceptionally well-made English brass miniature Queen Anne-style server with graceful cabriole leg and curved top with rounded corner. This piece is crafted from heavy, heavy brass and has what appears to be lead soldered joints. Quite possibly an apprentice piece designed to show his skills to the master smithy.
The table measures 3 7/8" high by 5" wide by 3" deep and weighs a substantial 1 1/2 pounds. It is in very good undamaged condition. The piece has that wonderful mellow patina of early brass. Quite a delightful little table dating to the first half of the 19th century.
The miniature candlesticks shown with the server are also available in our shop.
