English Silver Vinaigrette By John Bettridge Birmingham 1832-1833

A superb English sterling silver vinaigrette hallmarked for John Bettridge Birmingham, 1832-1833, with an intricate engine-turned purse design on the top, a leaf design on the bottom, a dotted design border around the sides and gilt interior. The grille is also beautifully engraved and pierced.

This charming vinaigrette measures 1" long by 3/4" wide and is in very good undamaged condition. There are no dents, dings or repairs and both the cover and grille close tightly. It is hallmarked on both the inside of the lid and the bottom.
