Mortimer Borne oil "Portrait of a Chinese Girl"1948

Modernist Oil Painting titled "Portrait of a Chinese Girl" by well listed and collected, New York/Provincetown artist, Mortimer Borne 1902-1987.He is collected by the Metropolitan Museum of Art,Museum of Modern Art,The Smithsonian and The National Gallery of Art.

Although Borne is more widely know for his drypoints I found the charm of a number of his oils hard to resist and will be offering some of them on Ruby Lane. This painting is an oil on canvas titled and dated "48" on the stretcher.

Oil Painting is 25" x 32 ", Framed dimension is 28 1/2" x 35 1/2". Painting is in very good condition. Signed l/l.
