1870's Antique Sugar Spoons by R. Wallace & Sons

This is a lovely set of 1870's Antique sugar spoons made by the R. Wallace & Sons Mfg. Company. These wonderful spoons feature a delicate and precise original workmanship of floral design. The individual hand engraving on each handle is exquisite. They measure approximately 5 1/2" long x 1 1/8" wide (widest part) with a total weight of 189.5 grams. This set comes in its original green velvet box with silk lining. The marking on the back of the spoons is "R. Wallace & Sons", "Sterling".This wonderful antique set comes from the granddaughter of the owner. The grandmother was gifted these for her service 1889-1903 as head housekeeper. The original story and picture of grandma are available with the set. These are in excellent antique condition.

These spoons were gifted to the head housekeeper, of a Lombard, Illinois family, when she retired from their service in 1903. She served this family from 1889-1903. Her name was Tillie.

This would make a wonderful addition to any antique R. Wallace Sterling Collection or Anyone who loves the beautiful era of this piece would be thrilled to own this treasure.
