1901 Official Souvenir Postcard

This "souvenir mailing card" from the Pan American Exposition of 1901 in Buffalo New York pictures the "Temple of Music" exhibition hall. The card was written to "Ruth from her loving Mother" who also wrote on the side "this is the building where our President was shot" referring to the fatal wounding of President William McKinley on September 6, 1901. The card has been postmarked showing it was mailed September 14, 1901 (the day McKinley died) from Buffalo NY. This is quite interesting piece for enthusiasts of American history, architecture and presidential history, as well as for postcard collectors.
