A great vintage pair of purse perfumes (book pieces) - truly hard to find, What gorgeous little scent bottles!
These came from the capitol of perfume making, Grasse, France. Souvenirs from the perfume factory.
The caps are probably heavy silver plated, The delicate, etched pattern extends to the sides of the bottles. Embossed in the glass on the bottom is Made in France, HP, and La Castillere.
One still has it's paper label, a lot of the original perfume! The glass daubers are in place, there are no chips or cracks, in excellent shape.
The bottles were made by Pouchet et du Courval, a French glassworks and their mark is HP, they also make lalique crystal. You can find one of these bottles on page 47 of the book "The Wonderful World of Collecting Perfume Bottles" by Jane Flanagan. Book value given $100-$150 per bottle. You get both of these for the price listed!
One stands 2 5/8" high, the other 2 3/4".
