Rose Cut Diamond & Platinum Ring, 7.5ct Peridot, Vintage Engagement Ring

My favorite part of this ring, the rose cut diamonds around the peridot. They are spectacular!!! They are large diamonds, clear diamonds and sparkling diamonds! They are all beautifully cut, Holland Rose Cuts or Dutch Rose Cuts. WOW! One diamond has a small flea bite, visible with a loup only. In open back settings, a feast for the eyes!

Each diamond is approximately 4mm, so it presents like 3.22 carats of diamonds. One diamond has a very small chip, not seen unless you are using a loupe. The actual weight is closer to 2.5 carats, as rose cuts have flat backs. The peridot is a rounded, rectangular cushion cut checkerboard. It is 14mm by 12mm, a very large stone, approximately 7.5 carats!

The peridot is in great condition with no surface wear, sorry about all the dust flecks in the pictures. The stone has streak inclusions and one black inclusion. You can see them if you look for them, they are not noticeable when the ring is on the finger with all that faceting; they may affect the value of the stone, but not the appearance of the ring. If the peridot didn't have inclusions...well, very few of us could even think about owning this ring.

The ring is stamped, 950 platinum. The platinum alone is worth a ton. All the stones are bezel and prong set in open back settings. The face of the ring is almost a perfect circle, 7/8" in diameter. The ring is around a size 6 3/4 or a bit larger and easily sized.
