Vintage 1969 Seattle Pilots Plastic Black Ring

The Seattle Pilots, a one season wonder. Part of the American League, they became the Milwaukee Brewers, and it was pretty last minute, no time to make new uniforms, so they kept the colors and sewed new patches on the uniforms. You could still see the outline of the Pilots patches around the Brewers patches.

I got this ring out of a bubble gum machine in 1969. Found it yesterday in my attic with my Girl Scout uniform. I never throw anything away, my attic is living proof!

It is in great shape, black and silver, minor paint loss and around a size 5, just fits my pinky. It is still pliable and is a bit adjustable. Baseball stitching is a nice touch.

As a baseball collectible, it is quite rare. A hard to find piece of Seattle Pilots Memorabilia.

You remember 1969, the Miracle Mets, while the Chicago Cubs collapsed at the end of the season.
