From my sister's collection. The celluloid pendant is fantastically carved, and so are the beads. Gorgeous floral design, accented with clear, cobalt blue art glass beads.
The "chain" is absolutely fascinating. It's a very fine cord or thread, 3 strands, woven and knotted to make the most intricate patterns. There are diamond shaped sections and around the back, well it's hard to describe, I hope the pictures will tell the story.
In remarkable, antique condition, with slight fading in places on the thread.
The necklace is 30" long, a flapper length sautoir, and the pendant drops another 4 1/4". The pendant itself is 2" north to south, and I'm sure this was made to imitate the look of Ivory. It is carved on both sides.
