50's Sterling & Faux Sapphire Ring, American Legion Auxiliary

This ring appeals to me on several levels. I love sapphire blue art glass. My mother was President of our local American Legion Auxiliary, the same year Dad was President of the American Legion. They were presented with little pins for their service.

This is a very attractive ring, a little bit of history, worn by the wife of a WWII Veteran. The stone is in excellent condition, it is stamped sterling on the inside of the band, a little bit out of round, but that is easily fixed. It is presently around a size 5 ¾ and easy to size.

The stone is ¾" north to south. The perfect present for a Veteran's wife.
