Museum quality, mint condition, someone took great pains to protect and preserve the beauty of this bracelet. Deservedly so, it is clearly outstanding and an exquisite example of the era!
It has everything you could wish for in a Victorian Bangle. 26 mine cut diamonds, total weight, approximately 1.2 cts. A clear, deep, rose colored ruby solitaire, approximately .65cts. 14K yellow gold with intricate etching and filigree work. Deep blue enamel work with no chips, cracks or wear. It just doesn't get any better than this...
The medallion or centerpiece is quite substantial, and stands a full ¾" off the wrist. The diamonds, ruby and gold scrolls sparkle and shine in contrast to the gleaming blue enamel. The diamonds have gorgeous repousse work and black enamel as a framework!
It measures 1 & 5/16" north to south and 1" east to west. It has a secure push in clasp, a fold over safety clasp and a safety chain. Oval shaped, it is 2 ¼" by 2" across the inside and will fit a wrist from 6" up to 7" in circumference.
Workmanship like this cannot be duplicated today. It is a remarkable piece of jewelry history, late Victorian, American, and Massively Beautiful!
