Deco 1934 Chicago Worlds Fair Ring, Century of Progress

I will be offering some other World's Fair souvenirs and memorabilia, so keep checking! This is an adjustable ring in silver toned metal with the great, Art Deco Logo in repousse, A Century of Progress.

It is in great shape and is around a size 8. The face is 9/16" tall. It could be cleaned up a bit, but I like the patina and vintage look. I like anything to do with the Chicago World's Fair!

Side Story:

My father went to this fair, an 11 year old farm kid who took the train to Chicago with Penrod, an older boy his folks had taken in and raised during the depression. When they got to the fair, Penrod gave my dad some money and told him to ride the Ferris Wheel. Penrod spent the entire day watching the fan dancer, Sally Rand. She was the smash hit of the fair. You can see some of it on You Tube. No wonder the 16 year old Penrod spent his entire day that way. Dad spent the day on the Ferris Wheel and they took the train back to Galesburg that night.
