Antique Victorian French Jet Necklace, Mourning Jewelry
You can see the construction on the back, they haven't made things like this in 100 years. The linked discs are 1/2" in diameter and faceted like rose cut diamonds. The drops are also faceted, oval beads. All are in excellent condition. Anything you see in the pictures is something I didn't see to clean off. It is 18 1/2" long with a newer "c" clasp.
Victorian mourning jewelry is classic jewelry and has never gone out of style. Black beads are all the rage again, and why not? They are beautiful and dress up any outfit.
The necklace lies flat around the neck and feels wonderful. Glossy and sparkling with all those facets shining, it catches any light in any direction and shines mysteriously.
