Victorian 18K Rose Gold Pearl Earrings, Rose Cut Sapphires
The design is beautiful and intricate. Great movement, the top holds a genuine natural pearl, the bottom has applied green gold flower petals that surround the original, prong set, rose cut sapphires.
The main body of the earrings is rose gold, they have that gorgeous pinkish hue that contrasts slightly with the green gold flower petals.
The sapphires are both holland rose cuts, white sapphires with minimal vintage surface wear. One earring has two points of attachment on the back, the other has four, which is original to the making. These are hand crafted, one of a kind, antique earrings.
The sapphires are equal in size with slightly different prong settings. The Victorians were in that interested in matching stones, it just didn't matter. They are closer in color than the first picture shows. I doubt if anyone would notice any difference while you are wearing them.
They are the perfect size, with a total drop of 1 7/8". They are 9/16" wide, so they are on the large side and can't be missed, but they do not enter the room before you do.
My pictures are just not good enough, the gold is so rich and gleaming, it reflects everything, including my pink camera.
I REALLY wish I had pierced ears. You need to see these in person.
