American sterling silver salad serving set in a Roses and Scrolls pattern by The whiting Manufacturing Company, later Gorham Silversmiths, c.1890.
The set was retailed by George C. Shreve of San Francisco.
This exquisite set has scroll and shell bowl and weighs a total of 163 grams or 5.2 ozs. Troy, with each piece being 8 7/8" in length.
The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
