American sterling silver mustard ladle in the Violet pattern by the Whiting Division of Gorham Silversmiths, c.1905.
This elegant, scarce and useful mustard ladle or spoon has an ornate period script monogram: A on the front of the handle and is inscribed: 1912 on the back.
Weighing 16 grams, this lovely ladle is 4 3/8" long.
Monogrammed and inscribed as described above, the soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
The excellent original condition and clear detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
This is similar to our other Violet mustard ladle, item # f1122, but is is slightly longer, the handle is wider and the bowl is slightly smaller. Both are factory original pieces.
