Lotus Bon Bon Scoop Whiting 1885 Sterling Silver

American sterling silver Bon Bon or candy scoop by The Whiting Manufacturing Company, c.1885. The handle has what appears to be a lotus bud, flower and leaf on the handle, which has a pointed, swirling scroll end.

This attractive and unusual scoop has a heart shaped bowl, is 4 7/8" long and weighs 18 grams. The back of the handle has a period script monogram H.

Monogrammed as described above, the soft, warm, original antique finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.

The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
