Whiting Grecian Sifter Ladle Sterling Silver 1862 Henry Hebbard

American sterling silver sugar sifter or sifter ladle in the Grecian pattern by Henry Hebbard, Patent 1862 and retailed by Tiffany & Co. The Grecian pattern was later made by Whiting.

This is an early ornate pattern with a Ram's head on the top of the handle, with it horns curving over on the handle back, a devil mask topped by a pomegranate in the middle of the handle and a grape back stamp on the bowl.

This beautiful ladle measures 7 1/4" long and weighs 61 grams or 2 ozs Troy.

The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.

The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
