Outstanding antique plate with intricate hand decoration including floral applications and gilt trim along-with a very faint flo-blue effect. This piece has been in my collection for over 50 years. At one time in history the upper-middle class surrounded themselves with beautiful things and used them every day. Generally a dinner plate like this would have probably been from a service with at least 30 place settings and was not used that much [ others with lots of wear were probably discarded ]. Pristine condition and well marked for Charles Meigh maker Circa 1835-1849 period. Now about 170 years old. 10 1/2 inch diameter.
