This wonderful 16 inch Steiff Anniversary Teddy Bear is a signed Limited Edition, number 2100/5000. This is a limited American edition series to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the House of Steiff, made in 1980. This Teddy Bear conforms as much as possible to the historic 1903 bear. Every detail is as close as possible to the original even the inner construction and plush fabric first used for the facial expression. Many of these materials are no longer available and had to be specially made in order to make these bears. This bear is numbered and hand signed by Mr. Hans Otto Steiff. It comes with a numbered and signed Certificate of Authenticity. He has the trademark Steiff button in his ear. It comes with the original box which has some breaks in the plastic on one end. The Bear is in mint condition.
