This is a lovely Whiting and Davis Bracelet. Silvertone in color, it has a chain link design going around the outside of the bracelet. Inside of each link is a silvertone flower. The Whiting and Davis trademark can be found on the inside of the bracelet.
Charles Whiting and Edward P. Davis bought out the Wade Davis Company in 1896 and established Whiting and Davis. The Whiting and Davis Co. began producing it's famous metal mesh bags and produced them until 1980. Whiting bought out Davis in 1907, incorporated the company and kept the company name. Whiting and Davis was also known for producing metal mesh jewelry, high end jewelry modeled after museum pieces, iridescent glass pieces as well as costume cameo pieces. They discontinued producing mesh jewelry in 1991. The Whiting and Davis Co. trademark was renewed three times and cancelled in 2003. Their metal mesh purses and jewelry are still highly sought after and continue to be highly collectible to this day.
The bracelet has a 2 1/4" inside diameter but it fits comfortably on my medium sized wrist since it a catch type clasp. There is a safety clasp for additional security. It also measures 5/8" wide and 3/8" thick.
The bracelet, catch and safety chain are all in excellent to near mint condition.
