This vintage ceiling light fixture dates to the late twenties to thirties. On the heels of the all white "sanitized look" very popular in the 1920s, the porcelain fixtures began to bring home some much needed color: black, green, blue, pink, and lavender. Quite often the color was an accent to an all white "subway tile" shower stall, one inch hex floor tile, and tiled wainscoting; with matching sink or toilet these colors began to make the bathroom more appealing. Height: 5 3/4 inches Width at base: 5 1/2 inches Width at shade opening: 6 1/2 inches
