Donald Carlson Red Art Glass Lamp

In 1967 Donald Carlson starting making glass in his studio. Even though he uses many colors, the color red became a specialty. Making the color red in glass is very difficult because you have to use the correct amount of chemicals for consistency.

This lamp is simple but so elegant in design and shape. The lamp is done in the deep red color with the rich black glass color used on the base. The lamp stands about 18" tall and the shade measures 10 1/4" wide. It is signed Carlson on the base with what looks like a 255.

It is in excellent condition and would be an attitude to any room.
