Pouty Glass-Eyed Turned Head Kling Circa 1880...All Original

I love this doll. (It takes a lot for me to say that after almost 40 years in the business.) I love her originality. I love her down-turned mouth that creates her pouty expression. I love her beautifully modeled, molded blonde hair. I love the fact that her head is turned and she is looking down slightly. I love her soulful dark brown glass eyes. I love her original clothing and underwear: Chemise, split drawers, 2 petticoats and a 2 piece dress made from a printed cotton voile from the late 19thc.....I love her!

Made by the Kling firm circa 1880-1885.

Height: 14"

Condition: Overall excellent. The head is free from hairlines, cracks, repairs, rubs, etc. The body has a well done old repair to one leg. One thumb has a flake.

I feel this is a very reasonable price for a closed mouth pouty, late 19th c. doll with glass eyes. I checked out Ruby Lane and it seems impossible to find one under $1000 and some are over $2000.
