Miniature French Hatbox From Au Bon Marche, Paris..Late 19thc
This would be a great accessory with which to display your favorite bebe's favorite hat. It would be a great accessory for a doll trunk for a Jumeau bebe or other French doll.
The box is marked, AU BON MARCHE, PARIS (A French department store that still exists today). And then the style, LOUISA or LOUISON or LOUISETTE. On the top of the box is the script label "Mlle Laurent"....I am sure she was the owner...Mademoiselle Laurent.
The box measures 4 7/8" square.
There is an iridescent feather with a clasp in the box....a hat of sorts.
