Rare 1850 French Figural King Crown Porcelain Bust Snuff Box-Very Unusual!!!

As you already may be aware boxes are a passion of mine, and snuff boxes are probably my favorite of all box types. The one pictured here is and extremely unusual piece. Not long ago I witnessed another just like it sell on another site for more money, but it did not have a makers signature like this one does. The detail to the face and the fine quality porcelain make this snuff a truly desirable snuff for anyone's collection. It is handpainted. The bottom is capped with a heavy guilded brass cover that opens by a pull. Inside as seen on the pictures is the makers signature. A truly magnificent addition.

Condition: Excellent. No cracks or repairs. There is a very slight chip or what may be a scuff of the gold on one of the spikes to the crown, in any case it is very minor. For accuracy I mention this only that there is minor and I mean minor wear to the paint. Overall excellent condition.

As in all my listings you will find the size of the item on one of the pictures. The measurements are approximate as rulers and tape measures etc can be slightly varied from one to another. The measurements are as close to size as we can get.
