1935 Planters Peanut Barrel Jar

This is an authentic 1935 Planters Peanut Barrel Jar. The jar is 10" high without the peanut finial lid. It is 9" across and is the only large lid jar. The glass is very clear and contains a few character bubbles. MADE IN USA embossed on the bottom. Very little wear to the bottom of the jar. The jar has a label applied to it...just excellent. The mouth of the jar has no damage or chips from the lid being removed and replaced to get at the peanuts. The rim of the lid is also damage free. There is a lot of the silver paint that once enhanced the characters on the jar. Planters is embossed twice on the lid. A super piece of history The jar and lid together weigh almost 8 lbs. This will be a wonderful addition to any Planters collection or a great start to one.
