Gorham Sterling Croquette Server – IVY – Ca. 1865

This lovely sterling silver serving piece was made by Gorham and dates from 1865. The piece was used for serving croquettes, although I can see it being used for many other things. The pattern name is IVY.

A scarce piece in a rare and handsome pattern.

The condition is excellent with NO dings, dents, or repairs and there is very little surface wear. It has a nice hefty weight and feel (2.58 troy oz).

The croquette server measures 9 & 3/8 inches long and is 2 & ½ inches across at the lip. There is an ornate "C" or "B" monogram on the back of the handle.

A great and interesting addition to any sterling silver collection.
