Late 19th century, turned sycamore circular butter press with hand grip and press all turned from one piece of wood. This has many uses such as a dish for nuts, a place to leave your keys, a candy dish, etc. This piece has a nice patina and feel. A butter press was used to work salt into the butter and to work to get the water out.
