Iron Table or Bench with Bronze Swan Heads & Feet, French, 1950's

France 1950's This is a very decorative bench or table made of iron and bronze. The curved wrought iron legs have swan feet made of bronze. The swan heads are also bronze and have wonderful detailing. This bench had been used as a garden bench, so it does have some rust, but it could easily be restored to its original condition. I have seen a repro of this bench on a website, and it was from the P.T. Barnum Estate in Sarasota, Florida. It is the same shape, but does not have the fabulous swan feet nor does it have thel detail on the swan heads. A pair of these benches are for sale on a very well known reputable designer/antiques website for $2500. They have been recently gilded, with leather tops added which I believe reduces their value.

If it is to be used as a bench, a cushion could be easily added.
