This is a very unusual 1940's Cowgirl outfit in its original lithographed box. That box is 12"X13"X1 1/2", brown cardboard with red ink copy, a young cowboy featured, and in the corner, a demure little, freckle faced cowgirl. The size is L, the vest is red suedecloth, decorated with yellow cowgirls, cows, even a few cowboys. The inside is lined with blue and brown gingham fabric. The skirt is more suedecloth and gingham, with green felt waistband and fringe. May have never been worn, but does show some age wear, and stiffness. The skirt has a dark stain of unknown origin. The set even comes with a souvenir tomahawk, not original to the set, but in the box, as found. This came from the day when children's toys, and even play outfits were made from real materials, and not cheap plastic. This may be one of a kind, as complete as it is, and in its original box.
