This box is 2 3/4" in diameter, and 1 7/8" high. It is vintage, probably made as a souvenir item. The box is made of light brown bark, with bound pine needles around the edge of the lid, and top and bottom edges of the box. A red and white porcupine quill maple leaf design(Canadian?) is on the top. Five quill work red stars are equally spaced around the side, with white a quill cross hatch pattern on the sides. Most of the white cross hatching has pulled out; Quill work is very fragile. One section, the front, still remains, and most of the maple leaf is intact. Native American quill work is hard to find, and very dear when you do find it.
