Antique Wicker Music Cabinet Rare Circa 1890's Victorian - image 1 of 8

This is a very rare and ornate antique Victorian wicker music cabinet. The gallery framing the wood top is a combination of stick and ball designs, curlicues, cane wrappings along with braiding.
The sides and front of the cabinet are heavily decorated with elaborate applied musical designs and notes made of reed and applied over the woven caning.
The cabinet retains the original decorative brass knob.
The interior has 3 wood shelves. The skirtings are decorated with curlicues. The shapely cabriole legs are cane wrapped and end in the original brass caps. There is one rear cap missing. There is a cane wrapped cross stretcher for extra strength.
This wonderful piece is strong and sturdy, very substantial and in excellent condition with age appropriate wear with new white paint.
