Delectable cream soup spoons in the King Edward pattern by Gorham. Most patterns have three round-bowl soup spoons. The cream soup is the mid size. The smaller is the bouillon and the larger is the gumbo. As the name suggests, the cream soup spoon is for soups such as vichyssoise, water cress, tomato basil, etc.
Note: The soup spoons are sold separately. The price is for one spoon.
Manufacturer: Gorham . . . which at one time was the largest silver company in the world. Gorham was formed in 1813 by Jabez Gorham. In 1860 his son, John, toured Europe hiring many of the very best silversmiths to come to Gorham. In 1880 C. Antoine Heller joined Gorham and became a force within the silver world.
Then in 1891 they hired William C. Codman who in 1895 designed Chantilly, the world's most popular flatware pattern.
Over the years they acquired such renowned companies as Whiting Mfg. Co, Durgin, Mt. Vernon, Alvin, etc. Today they are known as "Gorham Corporation".
