A spectacular example of first rate Mexicana style sterling silver earring with dual plaque frames with oval amber colored agate cabochon, affixed by three hinges to matching triangular silver frame of polished cabochon black onyx stone. Dangling from the post is the oval amber colored agate plaque from which hands the tree sided black onyx elegantly narrowing to its lower portion.

With the topside silver setting sits in horizontal in-depth dark amber from which the tree sided black onyx triangles hang flexibly, attached by a strongly secure three part hinge, allowing the bottom section to move freely.

The reverse side has designer & makers hallmark as a 5 cm circular design with four equally spaced lines radiating outward from a centered 1mm circle shaped hub, with initials GFMW in each quadrant. The backs also indicate STERLING just atop the hallmark. Acquired in Mexico in 1982 from a regional fine jewelry shop specializing in sterling silver examples of the culture's artistic flare in metal working crafts.
