Traditional Japanse Multicolored Decorative Plate-cira 1930's
This beautifully colored hand painted fine porcelain Japanese plate with the themes of "Ladies in the Garden House" has the maker's chop in red & gold on the reverse side (believed to be Matsobara). Its pure white field becomes filled with culturally stylized structural, figural, & traditional landscaping motifs. Using reds, pinks, browns, greens, yellow, black, blue, teal, gray, accented with gold guiding. Dimpled with raised white dots on gold background, that is interspersed among the along sounding sculpted edging. The edging with white raised dots on gold become mixed with red/gold chrysanthemums, blue/red butterflies, teal peonies, blue/yellow daisies & red fans with gold accents.
The plate measures 22 cm or 8 1/4" in diameter, & remains in good vintage condition with one small chip on the edge, otherwise has no cracks, discolorations, or fractures. A presentation stand is included with the lovely plate. Size: 22 cm (8 1/4")
