Superb 17th century Dutch Master drawing-watercolour, from the "Golden Age" highly listed Dutch Master Jacob Toornvliet ( or Toorenvliet) ( 1635-1719). "two putti chasing a satyr" Directly from a French Paris' estate collection. Jacob Toornvliet, born in Leyden in 1635, was a pupil of his father Abraham. He travelled to Rome in 1670 and became a member of the "bent" (an association of Dutch painters studying and working in Rome). He spent a few years in Venice, married, and by 1678 was active in Vienna. In 1686 he was accepted into the Artists Guild of Leyden and became its head in 1703, a position he maintained until his death, sixteen years later.

Examples of his work are to be found in the Rijksmuseum, the Louvre, the Albertina and other important European museums.
